WEBINAR: Positioning and Meal Time Habits To Support Safe Swallowing and Feeding in Geriatrics: The SLP’s Role (1917)
Purpose: This 1-hour webinar provides an opportunity to familiarize the SLP with meal time habits and positioning to support safe swallowing and feeding in the geriatric population. This course is offered for 0.1 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level; Professional Area).
About the Instructor: This course will be taught by Kristin Sears-Kopp, MA/CCC-SLP, a practicing SLP working to improve the lives and mealtimes of patients with dysphagia with the use of instrumental assessment. Kristin’s current role as Clinical Coordinator at Carolina Speech Pathology allows her the opportunity to participate in the further development of SLP’s skills and knowledge for the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia.
